The North Bay Heritage Gardeners, in partnership with St. Andrews United Church Outreach Committee, Near North Locavores, North Bay Area Master Gardeners and North Bay Horticultural Society, will be hosting a Seed Exchange and Eco-Fair on Saturday February 25, 2012. This event will be held in the Gymnasium of St. Andrews United Church, 399 Cassells St. from 1pm until 4pm.
The purpose of this event is to promote local food resiliency with the exchange of locally grown seeds and to promote awareness of local and global environmental issues as well as to provide the public with opportunities to get actively involved by volunteering with environmental groups. We would also like to create an eco-fair that showcases products, services, technology and programs which can make our lives more environmentally friendly, healthy and sustainable. Products and services that are local, organic, non toxic, fair trade, vegetarian/ vegan and healthy would be ideal for this event.
