Greening Nipissing currently has an opening for a co-op student. We are looking for an individual who can specialize in outreach and marketing. Co-op internships with Greening Nipissing are unpaid positions that last a duration of 4-6 months (preferably), for 4-5 days a week, either half day or full days.

Outreach Intern

Summary
The Outreach Intern will work, in collaboration with the Board of Directors, as well as the other Greening Nipissing staff, to extend Greening Nipissing’s participant community.

Roles and Responsibilities
Outreach
- In junction with the Greening Nipissing staff, develop an outreach strategic plan which includes both goals and outreach strategies
- Develop appropriate presentations based on target populations (youth, teens, older adults).
- Schedule and execute at least 5 outreach presentations to target populations
- Recruit 2-3 volunteers to assist with the planning and execution of door to door solicitation/publicizing of Greening Nipissing
- Devise a list of businesses in the North Bay and area that would be interested in Greening Nipissing doing an informational luncheon
Brochure
- Critically assess the existing brochure
- Incorporating the input and needs of Greening Nipissing’s staff and directors, update and/or create a new brochure.
Website Development
- Critically assess the existing website and provide feedback on what improvements can be made
- Extend content of the website based on the needs and interests of Greening Nipissing staff and Board of Directors
- Develop a directory (Name, picture, summary) of each resource Greening Nipissing has donated to the library and upload this on the website.
- Take photographs of North Bay nature areas and upload them on the website
Office Support
- provide tech support within the GN office
- help complete daily tasks and filing
